Other Irish Dancing and Music
If you find you enjoy the music, please join us on Sunday nights
for a traditional Irish music and song session led by Shay
Black of the renowned Black family of Irish singers.  It is also
held at the Starry Plough, and begins at 8 p.m.
If you enjoy the monthly set dancing workshops, consider
making the trek to San Francisco on Thursday evenings; set
dancing classes are held every Thursday except the first of
each month at 7:30 p.m. at the United Irish Cultural Center,
followed by dancing at the Plough and Stars pub in San
Francisco from 9:45 p.m. until 11 p.m.  On the first Thursday
of each month, there is no class at the United Irish Cultural
Center and dancing at the Plough and Stars begins at 8 p.m.  
These classes are sponsored by the Cooley-Keegan branch of
the international group Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.

there are many excellent local Irish step dancing schools,
such as the McBride School of Irish Dance and the Kennelly
School of Irish Dance.
